Texts also reveal occurring problems within religious communities. Shafana and Aunt Sarrinah are exposed to the effects of 911 onto the Muslim community through a flash back towards the ending of the play. During this flash back, they discuss the differences that they must commit to, post 911. This leads to the stereotyping that follows the events of 911, the expectation of terrorism reflecting their community as a whole, having the same evil motive. Muslims now feel the need to be careful in public due to the public's belief of their religion following the events of 911, to reduce social conflict with other communities being affected by the event.
